Ginsberg (née Zalipskaya, also Laskina) Faina (b. 1921, Gomel) – sales assistant.

Faina’s mother, Yevgeniya Zalipskaya (b. 1900), was evacuated from Latvia to Gomel during the First World War in 1914. In 1923, the family returned to Latvia.

In 1940, Faina completed 7 years of schooling at a basic Riga school and worked at a private workshop producing leather gloves in Riga. During the war, she lived and worked in the village of Belyaevka, Burtinsky District, Yakalovskaya Oblast. After the war, she did not work for several years, being financially supported by her common-law husband.

From 1963 to 1965, she worked as a seamstress at the “Latvia” company, and from 1965 to 1971, she was employed as a packer in the indicator paper workshop at the “Reagent” factory in Riga.

Faina was married twice. Her first husband, Y. Laskin (date of birth unknown – d. 1942), was killed in action near Moscow. Her second husband, Yankel Ginsberg (1906–1940), originally from Warsaw and a soldier in the Polish Army, was declared missing in action as of 1945. Since 1946, she had been in a common-law marriage with Mozus Rodman (b. 1909).

In 1947, Faina Ginsberg acquired Soviet citizenship. By 1970, she was living and working in Israel.
