Zalmanovich (Zalmanowitsch) (Kapulskaya) Ete (Yete, Jete) Abramovna (26.04.1935, Riga) – technician-technologist.
Ete Zalmanovich was born in the family of a tinsmith Abram Samuilovich Kapulsky (1911, Riga) and a dressmaker Lyubov Moiseevna Kapulskaya (Gordon) (1911, Riga). She was evacuated to the city of Cheboksary, Chuvash ASSR (1941), from where in the same year she moved to the city of Semipalatinsk, Kazakh SSR, where in 1944 she went to a local school. Returning to Riga, she graduated from 10 classes (1954), then from the Riga Technical School of Local and Fuel Industry (1934-1957). She worked as a cutter at a sewing factory of individual tailoring (1957-1961), was a homemaker (1961-1963), worked as a master of sewing production - in the Mail Box MOOP (1963-1971), in the association “Silhouette” (1971-1973).
In marriage with Samuil Davydovich Zalmanovich (1929, Riga), sons Anatoly Zalmanovich (1955, Riga) and Henry Zalmanovich (1961, Riga) were born.
In 1973, Ete Zalmanovich received permission to emigrate to Israel, where her sister Rosa Abramovna Kaplan (Kapulskaya) (b. 1937) had been living since 1971.
