Perlman (Perlmann) (née Abramson) Raina (Raine) (28 August 1911, Tukums) – seamstress.

In 1914, Perlman’s family was evacuated to Lugansk. In 1918, she returned to Latvia and completed six grades at a Jewish elementary school in Tukums. From 1926 to 1930, she worked as a domestic servant and cared for children in affluent households in Tukums. In 1931–1932, she worked as a seamstress in Bora’s hat workshop. From 1932 to 1935, she was employed in the Abramson sewing workshop in Tukums. Between 1935 and 1939, she worked in Zilberman’s workshop, and in 1940, she began working at the Augustons’ workshop.

During the war, from 1941 to 1946, she was evacuated to the rear and worked on a kolkhoz in the Chashin District, Kurgan Region. After returning to Latvia, she worked as a seamstress at the “Progress” artel in Tukums (1947–1950), and from 1951 to 1966, at the Tukums District Consumer Union’s Industrial Combine. From 1966 she was a pensioner, and between 1969 and 1973, she worked as a seamstress at the “Latvia” company.

She was married to Zelik Perlman (1897, Tukums); their children were Isroeyl Perlman (1950, Tukums) and Hanna (Hana) Levina (née Perlman) (1947, Tukums).

Of the seven children born to the worker Israel Abramson (1873, Tukums – 1943) and Chana Abramson (1878, Tukums – 1943), only two survived the war: Raina and her sister Taube Abramson (1904, Tukums). Rayna’s brothers, Leyba Abramson (1907, Tukums – …), Shie Abramson (1913, Tukums – …), Hirsh Abramson (1909, Tukums – …), and Avraham Abramson (1915, Tukums – …) died on the front. Her sister Rocha Abramson (1901, Tukums – 1942) and her parents died in evacuation.

In 1974, Raina Perlman received permission to emigrate to Israel to join her son.
