Mesengiser (Messengieser) (Gelbart) Rase Khaimovna (born 14 June 1918, Riga) — seamstress.

Rase Mesengiser was the daughter of Khaim-Yosef Aizikovich Gelbart (1887, Jekabpils — 1942, Chkalov, Orenburg Region, in evacuation) and Astna Yekelevna Gelbart (née Bushkina) (1884, Krustpils — 1957, Riga). She completed six years of schooling at the Jekabpils School in 1931. From 1931 to 1937 she worked as a seamstress for private employers in Jekabpils and then at “Bernu Apgerbs” (1937–1941, Riga). During the war she was evacuated to Yaroslavl Region, working in a local kolkhoz (1941–1942) and later as a worker in the railway foundry workshop (1942–1944, Chkalov, Orenburg Region). She returned to Riga in 1945, married, and was dependent on her husband until 1966.

Rase Mesengiser was married to Boris Avseyevich Mesengiser (born 1910, Daugavpils); they had no children.

In 1966 she received permission to emigrate to Israel, where her husband’s cousin, Yehezkiyel Zelikovich Slivkin (born 1908, Riga), had been living since 1934.
