Milman (Milmann) (née Strashun) Minna Girshevna (born 1923, Dvinsk; today Daugavpils) — clerk.
She was born into the family of a locksmith, Girsh Movshovich Strashun(1893, Dvinsk — 1942, Gorky Oblast), and a housewife, Sheina Gutmanovna Strashun (née Surits) (according to other sources — Lutovna) (1892, Dvinsk — 1967, Riga). She completed seven grades of the Dvinsk Jewish school (1938) and studied commerce (1938–1941). During the war she was evacuated to Gorky Oblast, where she worked on the collective farm Put’ Kommuny (“Path of the Commune”) from 1941 to 1945.
After returning to Latvia, she worked in Riga as a sales clerk at the Torgmortrans trust (1946–1950). From 1950 to 1956 she was a homemaker on her husband. She then returned to work at Torgmortrans as a sales clerk (1956–1957), worked as a sales clerk at the 2nd Riga Municipal Industrial Trade Organization (Gorpromtorg) (1957–1961), and at Tekstilshveiobuvtorg (Textile, Clothing, and Footwear Trade Organization) (1961–1962). From 1962 to 1968 she was again a homemaker. From 1968 to 1971 she worked as a senior sales clerk at Tekstilshveiobuvtorg.
In her marriage to Khatse Peisakhovich Milman (born 1922, Riga), two children were born: a son, Girsh Khatsevich Milman (born 1948, Riga), and a daughter, Lyuba Khatsevna Milman (born 1955, Riga).
In 1971, she received permission to emigrate to Israel, where her husband’s cousin Yakov Merom (born 1921, Riga) had been living since 1937.
