Zhukov Lazar Iosifovich (16 November 1913, Gostiny) — photographer.
Lazar Zhukov was the son of Iosif Zhukov (1884, Gostiny — 1956, Israel) and Khana Zhukova (1887, Gostiny — 1940, Palestine). In 1928, he graduated from the 8th grade of the Riga Jewish Evening School. From 1928 to 1931, he was an apprentice to watchmaker Falkov in Riga. From 1931 to 1941, he worked at the Boston cloth factory in Riga. In 1941, he was evacuated to the Yaroslavl region and was drafted into the Soviet Army that same year.
Lazar Zhukov fought in the Latvian Division. He was wounded twice: in 1941 and 1944 and was a World War II disabled veteran of the 3rd group. He was demobilised in 1945. From 1945 to 1950, he worked as a photographer at the Dorurs industrial complex in Riga. From 1950 to 1957, he worked as a photographer at the Rigas Foto studio. In 1957, he was tried under Article 129-a of the RSFSR Criminal Code and sentenced to two years' imprisonment by the People's Court of the Molotov District of Riga. 1958–64 – photographer at the Riga Theatre Society. 1964–69 – photographer at the Riga State Philharmonic. Since 1970 – photographer at the Rigas Foto factory.

Lazar Zhukov was married to Khaya Zhukova (Adirim) (1914, Vilani – 1963, Riga), they had two daughters, Frida Reidel (Zhukova) (1947, Riga) and Aviva Zhukova (1957, Riga). His sister, Frida Zhukova (1918, Gostini – 1941, Riga), perished in the Holocaust. In 1971, Lazar Zhukov and his younger daughter received permission to emigrate to Israel at the invitation of his brother, Moshe Zhukov Moshe (1911, Gostini), who had left Latvia for Palestine in the 1930s. He later changed his surname to Zikhroni. In the late 1970s, he lived in Jerusalem and ran his own photo studio.
