Zelkina (Selkina) (née Slutskaya) Ethel Osherovna (1892, Dombrovitsa, Zhitomir region – ?) — housewife.

Ethel Zelkina was the daughter of Osher Slutsky (1884, Zhitomir region) and Maria Slutskaya (née Galper) (1852, Zhitomir region – 1915, Priluki, Ukraine). Ethel did not receive formal schooling and was taught literacy at home. Until 1914, her family lived in Dombrovitsa; in 1914, she moved to Priluki.

In 1941, she was evacuated to the Tajik SSR. In 1945, she returned to Priluki, and in 1952 moved to Riga together with her daughter.

She was married to Semen Zelkin (…, Brest-Litovsk – 1941), who was executed in Priluki in 1941. Their children were Boris Zelkin (1921, Priluki, Ukraine) and Maria Brovornik (née Zelkina) (1922, Priluki, Ukraine).

Her sister, Alina Sher (née Slutskaya) (1896, Zhitomir region), emigrated in the 1910s to the territory of present-day Israel. Her brother, Moritz Slutsky (1894, Zhitomir region), was living in the United States in the 1970s. In 1971, Ethel Zelkina was granted permission to emigrate to Israel.
