Zeider (Seider) (nee Zalmanovich, in the 1st marriage – Markushevich) Brokha (Brocha)Davidovna (July 22, 1922, Sverdlovsk, now Ekaterinburg) – seamstress.

Brokha Zeider was born into the family of tailor David Hirschovich Zalmanovich (1895, according to other sources – 1905, Dvinsk, now Daugavpils – 1969, according to other sources – 1973, Riga) and housewife Liza Yakovlevna Zalmanovich (1898, according to other sources – 1908, Dvinsk – 1971, according to other sources – 1975, Riga). In 1926, she moved to Riga with her parents, where she completed 7 grades in 1937. She worked as an apprentice seamstress under a private master, then as a seamstress in private workshops (1937-1941), was evacuated to Chymkent in the Kazakh SSR, where she worked as a cleaner at the State Bank, and then in vineyards at a local Soviet farm (1941-1947). Upon returning to Riga, she was supported by her parents (1947-1950), worked as a bookbinder in artels “Rigas foto”, “Sarkanāis karogs”, “Trud” (1950-1956), was a basket maker in store No. 95 (1956-1958), and a saleswoman in store No. 21 of the 3rd City Food Trade (1958-1959), worked as an assembler at the ‘Ausma’ factory (1959-1966), was a quality control inspector at the Republic Association ‘Latvzoovetsnab’ (1966-1967), and a lacquer worker at the production association ‘Dailrade’ (1967-1977). In her marriage to Abram Yakovlevich Markushovich (1918, Irkutsk – died at the front in WWII in 1942), her daughter Berta Berzina (Markushovich) was born (1941, Polevskoy, Sverdlovsk region). In her marriage to Yuli Girshevich Zeider (1918, Tallinn), there were no children. The marriage was dissolved in 1962.

In 1977, Brokha Zeider received permission to emigrate to Israel, where her brother Samuel Davidovich Zalmanovich (1929, Riga) had been living since 1973.
