Yungman (née Tukatsier) Mariya Abramovna (23.09.1913, Riga) – pianist-teacher, accompanist. Higher education. In 1920–31 she studied at a 10-year Russian school. In 1927 she enrolled at the Latvian State Conservatory in the piano class, which she completed in 1936. In 1931 she went on an excursion trip to Finland. With the start of the war she was evacuated to Alma-Ata, where in 1941–43 she worked in her specialty at the State Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet. In 1943 she moved to Ivanovo at the government invitation of the head of the Arts Administration of the LSSR, to work in the State Arts Ensemble of the LSSR, where until 1944 she worked as pianist. In 1944 she returned to Riga. In 1944–45 she worked as pianist at the LSSR State Philharmonic. In 1946–50 — teacher at the Jāzeps Mediņš Music College; from 1950 — teacher and concertmaster at the Riga Choreography School. In 1960 she traveled to visit relatives in Finland. In 1971 she received permission to leave for Israel for permanent residence.

On 8.03.1938 she married Yungman Iosif Moiseevich.

In the marriage daughter Rabiner (née Yungman) Yelena Iosifovna was born.
Father – Tukatsir Abram Zalmanovich (1885, Orsha – 1941, Riga) – inspector; in 1920–40 worked at the “E. Birkgan” office (fish sales).

Mother – Tukatsir Leya Tevelevna (1890, Tauragė, Lithuania territory – 1941, Riga).
Sisters: Tukatsir Feyga Abramovna (1916, Riga – 1941, Riga),
Tukatsir Asya Abramovna (1918, Kharkov – 1941, Riga)

Parents and 3 sisters perished in the Riga ghetto in 1941.
