He served as dayan for the Mitnagdim congregation toward the end of the days of R. Feivel Rappaport.

Mentioned in the prenumeranten at the end of the responsa Zioni, vol. 2, as “the rabbi, the dayan, R. Pinchas,” and likewise at the end of the responsa Gedulat Mordechai. He is also registered as a mohel in the city in the birth registration books beginning from 5628 (1868), from which point the registrations appear.
