Vainshtein (Weinstein) Eta Aronovna (30 October 1918, Ludza, Latvia) – clerk.

Eta Vainshtein was born into the family of worker Aron Vainshtein (died 1936, Ludza) and housewife Fruma Vainshtein (died 1942, Cheboksary, Chuvash ASSR). She completed 7 grades at the Ludza Jewish School (1935), and upon moving to Riga, worked at the “Lenta” factory (1936–1941). She was evacuated to Cheboksary, where she worked as a nurse in a military hospital (1941–1943), and as a worker at a bread factory (1943–1944). She then moved to Gorky (now Nizhny Novgorod), where she worked as a shop assistant in a bakery (1944–1946).

Upon returning to Latvia, Eta Vainshtein worked in Riga as a sales assistant in the ORS store of Voenmolstroy (1946–1948), in the Torgmortrans store (1948–1949), and in Store No. 1 of Latrybsbyt, which was later reorganised into Store No. 1 of the City Food Trade Organisation (1949–1955). She later worked as a shop assistant in Store No. 50 (1955–1959), in the 2nd City Food Trade Organisation (1959–1963), then as a worker at the “Rekord” footwear factory (1963–1964), and as a shop assistant at Store No. 33 of the Household Goods Trade Network (1964–1968).

From her marriage to Iosif Kopelovich Shmuelovich (b. 1908, Riga), two sons were born: Aron Iosifovich Shmuelovich (b. 1955, Riga) and Felix Iosifovich Shmuelovich (b. 1958, Riga).

In 1968, Eta Vainshtein received permission to emigrate to Israel, where since 1929 her sister Tova Aronovna Kimkhi (née Vainshtein) (b. 1913, Ludza, Latvia) had been living.
