Tsimerman Tsalel Yakovlevich (24.10.1919, Dvinsk, today – Daugavpils – 1980, Munich, FRG) – photographer. Born into the family of worker Tsimmerman Yankel (Yakov) Tsalevich (1896, Dvinsk – 1978, Daugavpils) and housewife Tsimmerman (née Drits) Doba Samuylovna (1899, Dvinsk – 1943, Kalash, Chuvashia). He completed six grades of the Dvinsk Jewish school (1932), was an apprentice, then amateur photographer, then professional photographer (1932—1941, Dvinsk). He was evacuated to Andijan, Uzbek SSR, where he worked as a photographer at a studio (1941—1942), was a soldier in the Latvian Division (1942—1943, Gorokhovets Camps, Gorky, today – Nizhny Novgorod), and worked as a cotton-train escort (1943—1945, Andijan). Returning to Latvia, he worked in Daugavpils as a photographer – at the city trade office (1945—1949), at the Municipal Industrial Combine, and then at the Household Services Combine (1949—1979).

In his marriage to Tsimerman (née Zakhodina) Lyuba Lazarevna (1919, Dvinsk), son Tsimerman Lazar Tsalelovich (1944, Kurgan-Tyube, Tajik SSR) and daughter Nashatyr (née Tsimerman) Dora Tsalevna (1948, Daugavpils) were born.

In 1979 he received permission to emigrate to Israel, where his brother Tsimmerman Ruvin Yankelevich (1923, Dvinsk) had been living since 1971, and son Tsimerman Lazar Tsalelovich (1944) since 1973. He later moved to West Germany.
