Liepāja / Libau / Libava

Born in 5651 (1891) in Lithuania. He studied at the Kovna yeshiva.

He perished here in the Holocaust in 5702 (1942).

Latvia: Batei Knesset VeRabbanim, p. 243. In the book Emunat Yehuda VeYisrael (Brooklyn 5709), he is mentioned in a dedication “in memory of those of God's people who fell by the sword: the rabbi, the Gaon, R. Dov Berel Traub, Libave.”
