Svetlova (artistic name, born Mikhelson) Ada (Adel) Isakovna (16 April 1937, Kharkov) — singer, mezzo-soprano.

Ada Svetlova graduated from the Kharkov Pedagogical College. From 1960 to 1965, she continued her musical education at the Kishinev Conservatory (class of solo singing under T. Aleshina).

In 1965, she moved to Riga, where she worked at the Opera Theatre, performing roles such as Olga in Eugene Onegin and Maddalena in Rigoletto.

For more than 20 years, she worked at the Latvian Philharmonic. From 1967, she was among the first performers of arrangements of Jewish folk songs by M. Goldin (in 1981, she recorded an LP with the label Melodiya).

She performed solo programs in Riga and in many cities of the former USSR. From 1974, she regularly presented Jewish music programs. She also performed in the Riga Dome Cathedral together with P. Sipolnieks, B. Mieze, E. Lisitsina, O. Cintins, T. Deksnis, and R. Kamenshchikova.

Her repertoire included a wide range of Russian classical music, especially works by Pyotr Tchaikovsky and Sergei Rachmaninoff, as well as outstanding interpretations of Jules Massenet, Georges Bizet, Edvard Grieg, and Johannes Brahms.

In Riga, she collaborated with accompanists P. Pechersky, V. Khokhlov, and N. Shreder. She was a постоянная участница (regular participant) in concerts organized by the Latvian Society of Jewish Culture (LOEK).

In 1990, Ada Svetlova emigrated to Israel, where she continued to perform solo concerts.
