Spector (Spektor) Andrey Moiseevich (1913 — unknown) — worker, engineer.
Andrey Spector began his working life as an unskilled labourer at a suburban farm in Vinnytsia. After graduating in 1932 from the factory school of the North Donets Railway, he was appointed propagandist of the Kadiivka City Committee of the Komsomol in Donetsk Region.
In October 1935, he was conscripted into the Soviet Army, where he served until 1937. He was then appointed secretary of a Komsomol committee at a secondary school. In the same year, he transferred to work in the political department of the Administration of the North Donets Railway.
From June 1941, he volunteered for active service in the army. He remained in Komsomol and Party-political work in the Soviet Army until 1961. In 1961, he retired from military service, but continued working in the Bryansk Regional Consumers’ Union as an engineer-technologist, instructor, and commodity specialist responsible for organising trade, procurement, and the collection of agricultural products.
In 1981, he moved to Riga. There, he worked as an engineer in the production-dispatch department and later as a quality control inspector at the Latvian production association “Straume.”
For his active participation in the Second World War, labour achievements, and public activity, he was awarded the Orders of the Patriotic War (1st and 2nd class), two Orders of the Red Star, and eighteen medals, and was repeatedly awarded certificates of honour.
