R. Yechezkel son of R. Moshe Sirkin

Jēkabpils / Jakobstadt

Born in the town of Tatarsk in the district of Smolensk.

A Hasid of the Lubavitcher Rebbe the Tzemach Tzedek. Rosh yeshiva in Vitebsk.1)

Around 5620 he served for a short time as rabbi here.

Afterward he served for many years as rabbi in Kapust, where he passed away on 28 Elul 5649 (24 September 1889).

Author of the book Binyan Yechezkel (on tractates Nedarim and Ketubot, Warsaw 5621), and the pamphlet Binyan Yechezkel (ten responsa, Odessa 5645). He published Torah novellae in the collection Yagdil Torah (Odessa).

His responsa were also published in the collection Yagdil Torah, New York, and elsewhere.
