Simson (Simsohn) (née Frid) Basheva (Baschewa) Iserevna (25 August 1920, Varakļāni) — worker.

Basheva Simson was born into the family of Iser Benzionovich Frid (1882 — murdered by the Nazis, exact date unknown, Varakļāni) and Tema Nokhomovna Frid (1883 — murdered by the Nazis, exact date unknown, Varakļāni).

She completed six classes of primary school. From 1939 to 1940, she worked as a buffet attendant at the “Savoy” hotel in Riga, and from 1940 to 1941 as a nurse’s aide in the Riga Children’s Hospital.

In 1941, she was evacuated to the Omsk region, where she worked as a nurse in a hospital (1941–1942). After moving to Dzhambul (Kazakh SSR), she worked as a laborer at a brick factory (1942–1943) and at a sugar factory (1943–1945).

After returning to Riga, she worked in building reconstruction (1945–1946), then as a buffet attendant at the “Moscow” restaurant (1946–1947). From 1947, she was supported by her husband.

She was married to Solomon Moiseevich Simson (1918, Minsk). Their children were Ruti Solomonovna Simson (1948, Riga) and Simon Solomonovich Simson (1951, Riga).

In 1969, Basheva Simson received permission to emigrate to Israel, where her husband’s half-sister, Khana Moiseevna Gotlib (née Simson) (1921, Tukums), resided.
