Shreder Nataliya Rudolfovna (27.12.1924, Berlin) ― pianist, accompanist, teacher.
From 1925 she lived in Riga. As a child she studied at Yu. Mayevsky's private piano studio. As a child prodigy she achieved great success in her studies; her first performance at the Latvian Conservatory took place at the age of 7, at an evening event of Mayevsky's school, where Sh. played Chopin's A minor mazurka and 2nd nocturne. At age 10 she played Beethoven's 1st concerto.
She entered the junior division of the Latvian Conservatory in 1934 (class of L. Goman-Dombrovskaya). From age 13 she performed in symphony concerts.
Her studies at the conservatory were interrupted by the Second World War. She resumed her studies in 1945, and in 1947 graduated from the Latvian Conservatory (class of Prof. V. Zosts).
In 1947―49 she was accompanist for the conservatory choir, then accompanist for the State Choir of the Latvian SSR.
From 1962 ― soloist and accompanist of the Latvian Philharmonic. She performed solo recitals annually and took part in chamber instrumental music concerts (including with trios by S. Rachmaninoff, C. Franck, M. Ravel, and others). She performed with many soloists of the Philharmonic in Riga and other cities of Latvia, as well as throughout the former USSR. From the late 1970s ― regular accompanist for A. Svetlova and G. Rosenberg, who performed Jewish folk songs arranged by M. Goldin.
From 1988 ― pianist-accompanist at the Latvian Society of Jewish Culture (LOEK). She actively performed at all LOEK concerts, accompanying singers and instrumentalists. She recorded an album of Jewish songs arranged by M. Goldin (soloist ― A. Svetlova).
