Shlosmanis (Shlosman) (née Lisus) Liba (Mera) Mordukhovna (23.01.1917, Riga) — office worker. Daughter of Lisus Motel (1868, Zhagare — 1931, Riga) and Lisus (née Valk) Riva (29.06.1888, Ukmerge, Lithuania (Vilkomir, Kovno Governorate)). In 1934 she graduated from O. N. Bochagova-Lishina's Russian gymnasium in Riga. At the same time she studied piano at the Riga People's Conservatory, planning to enter the conservatory. However, due to the family's difficult financial situation, Sh. was forced to abandon her music studies and take up work. In 1935—41 — cashier at Jakobson's haberdashery store in Riga.
In 1941 she was evacuated to Yaroslavl Region, and subsequently moved to Bashkiria, where she was employed in field work on the local collective farm. In 1943 Sh. volunteered for the Labor Army and until 1946 worked as a statistician in the planning department of the “Sevuraltyazhstroy” administration in the town of Berezniki, Molotov Region. In 1946—48 — record keeper at the “Soyuzgiprotorg” administration. From 1948 — housewife. In her marriage to Shlosman Aron (1914, Drissa, Belarus), sons Shlosman Izak (1948, Riga) and Shlosman Rafael (1953, Riga) were born. Sh.'s elder sisters, Perakh (née Lisus) Sarra (1908, Zhagare) and Ferber (née Lisus) Rasha (1909, Zhagare), emigrated from Latvia in the 1930s to what is now the State of Israel. Sh.'s brother, Lisus Sholem (1911, Zhagare — 1941), went missing on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War. In 1965 Sh. received permission to emigrate to Israel at the invitation of her mother and elder sisters.
