Shenkman Mark Abramovich (27.08.1955, Riga) – construction engineer. In 1977 he graduated from the construction faculty of the Riga Polytechnic Institute. In 1977–79 – engineer at the “Latgiproselstroy” design institute. Through his marriage to Shenkman (Elelman, Trupina) Zofiya (1954, Riga), Sh. adopted his wife's son from her first marriage, Shenkman Yuly (1974, Riga). In 1979 Sh. received permission to emigrate to Israel.
