Shamir (Sheftelovich) Gabriel (Gutel) (? — 1992, Israel) — applied artist. Studied at the school of applied arts in Berlin. Author of the design for the monument to Jewish soldiers fallen in the battles for Latvia's independence (Riga, Jewish Cemetery, 1935). From 1935 — in Eretz Israel. Author of the design of the State of Israel's coat of arms (1949); author of many postage stamps, banknotes and coins.
