In 1941, R. was evacuated to Gorky; until 1945 — worker at the “Hammer and Sickle” plant. In 1945, R. was re-evacuated to Riga; until 1948 — worker at the Daugavpils Mixed Trade. His marriage to Rudnitskaya (Shvalbe) Gita (1910, Malta — 1968, Riga) produced daughters Rudnitskaya Ginda (1948, Riga) and Rudnitskaya Blyuma (1951, Riga). In the Holocaust, R.'s parents, Rudnitsky Neukh (1880, Homel Oblast — 1941(?), Riga) and Rudnitskaya Pesya-Blyuma (1882, Daugavpils — 1941(?), Riga), and sister, Rabin (Rudnitskaya) Sara (1906 — 1941(?), Riga), perished. R.'s brother, Rudnitsky Kalman (1904, Daugavpils — 1943, Irkutsk Oblast), according to unverified information, was exiled from Latvia to Russia in the 1930s for underground communist activity. In 1979, R. received permission to emigrate to Israel at the invitation of his brother's widow, Rudnitskaya (Gekht) Edel (1905, Daugavpils).
