Rips Ilya Borisovich (24 August 1953, Riga) — engineer.
Ilya Rips was born into the family of Boris Davydovich Rips (1925, Riga) and Sabina Rips (née Bernstein) (1927, Riga).
In 1975 he graduated from the Faculty of Chemistry of Leningrad State University. From 1975 to 1979 he worked as an engineer at the Institute of Physics and Power Engineering of the Academy of Sciences of the Latvian SSR.
In 1980 he received permission to emigrate to Israel.
