Born in the year 5643 (1883) in Grodno.

He served as rabbi here from the year 5683 (1923), and also served as ritual slaughterer.

He perished in the Holocaust in the summer of 5701 (1941).

Latvia: Batei Knesset VeRabbanim, pp. 21 and 237. There it states that he perished on 11 June 1941, which is an error, since the Nazis, may their name be blotted out, did not capture the place before the end of June (Pinkas HaKehillot, p. 52).
