Aizpute / Hasenpoth

Born on 28 Kislev 5611 (3 December 1850) in Raseiniai.

He studied under R. Moshe Zeitlin, rabbi of Raseiniai, and under R. Yosef Dov Soloveitchik of Brisk (while he was rabbi of Slutsk).

Son-in-law of R. Eliezer Lipman Lichtenstein, rabbi of Tukums.

He served in the rabbinate here in the years 5642–5659 (1882–1899), when he was accepted as rabbi of Mitau, where he passed away on 6 Adar I 5673 (13 February 1913).

An approbation from him was printed in Sha'ar Shimon (Vilna 5662).
