Naigauzen (Neihousen) (née Soloveichik; first marriage Bregman) Basya Aronovna (15 October 1926, Osipovichi, Belarus) — hairdresser.

Basya Naigauzen was born into the family of a painter, Aron Ekhelevich Soloveichik (1898, Shumyachi village, Smolensk Oblast), and a photographer, Maria Lvovna Soloveichik (1903, Osipovichi). She began school in 1933 in Orsha and, after moving to Bobruisk in 1940, continued her education at a secondary school there.

She was evacuated together with her mother and brother to Alma-Ata in the Kazakh SSR, where from 1941 to 1944 she attended school while simultaneously working as a bookkeeper at one of the local institutions. After her father was wounded, he was transferred to work in Moscow, and in 1944 the entire family moved there. Basya worked in various organisations, including as a photo retoucher at the production combine of the All-Union Theatrical Society (1948–1950) and as a home-based colourist for the Mytishchi workshop of “Mosoblhudozhnik” (1953–1955).

After moving to Riga, she worked as a technician-dispatcher at the service bureau of the “Darbs” Repair and Mechanical Plant (1963), as a cashier at the Hairdressing Services Office (1963–1965), and as a hairdresser at the Jūrmala Household Services Combine (1966–1971).

From her marriage to Samuil Moiseyevich Bregman, a son, Boris, was born in 1949 in Moscow; the marriage was dissolved in 1950. From her marriage to Meilakh Meerovich Naigauzen (1921, Rēzekne, Latvia), a daughter, Sofya Meilakhovna Naigauzen, was born in 1959 in Moscow. Meilakh Meerovich Naigauzen adopted Basya Aronovna’s son from her first marriage, giving him his patronymic and surname: Boris Meilakhovich Naigauzen.

In 1971, she received permission to emigrate to Israel, where since 1966 her parents and her brother, Lev Aronovich Soloveichik (1936, Orsha, Belarus), had been living.
