Mostov David (Dawid) Itskhokovich (27 June 1927, Riga) — electrical engineer.

David Mostov was born into the family of a tailor, Mostov Itsik (according to other sources, Isaak Efimovich) (1893, Drissa, Belarus — today Verkhnyadzvinsk — 1956, Riga), and a homemaker, Mostova Etta Movshovna (1893, Vabolniki, Lithuania — today Vabalninkas — 1967, Riga).

In 1941 he was evacuated to the town of Khaidarken in the Kirghiz SSR, where he attended a local school (1943–1945). After returning to Riga, he graduated from Secondary School No. 27 (1953). He studied at the Latvian Agricultural Academy (1953–1954), then served in the Soviet Army (1955–1958, village of Hoshcha, Rivne Oblast, Ukraine).

After demobilization, he enrolled in the full-time program of the Faculty of Electrical Power Engineering at the Riga Polytechnic Institute (1958), but in 1961, for family reasons, transferred to the evening program. He graduated in 1963.

He worked as an electrical fitter in the insulation service of the Energy Management Directorate of Latvenergo (1961–1962), as an engineer for rationalization at the Central Electric Networks (CEN) of Latvenergo (1962–1963), as repair foreman of the First Riga Network District of the CEN of Latvenergo (1963–1964), as head of the Mangalsala network section of the CEN of Latvenergo (1964–1970), and as head of the Primorsky network district of the CEN of Latvenergo (1970–1972).

In marriage with Roza Abramovna Mostova (née Pliner) (1935, Ludza, Latvia), they had a son, Isak Davidovich Mostov (1956, Riga), and a daughter, Mostova Larisa Davidovna (1965, Riga).

In 1972 David Mostov received permission to emigrate to Israel, where from the spring of that year his brothers and sisters were already living: since 1969 — brother Movsha Itsikovich Mostov (1921, Riga) and sister Aleksandra Itsikovna Jakobson (née Mostova) (1924, Riga); since 1971 — sister Fruma-Sima Itsikovna Shneider (née Mostova) (1923, Riga); brother Ilya Itsikovich Mostov (1927, Riga); sister Hana Isakovna Rostovskaya (née Mostova) (1917, Riga); and since spring 1972 — brother Avigder Itsikovich Mostov (1926, Riga).
