Moldavsky Yuriy Vladimirovich (15 May 1941, Haisyn, Vinnytsia Oblast, Ukraine) — worker.

Yuriy Moldavsky was born into the family of a driver, Vladimir Grigoryevich Moldavsky (born 1916, Haisyn), and a telephone operator, Bronya Lvovna Moldavskaya (née Lumer) (born 1917, Ternovka, Vinnytsia Oblast). He completed eight grades of the Haisyn school (1956). He worked in Haisyn as a tinsmith at the district industrial combine (1956–1959), completed driver training courses (1959–1960), and worked as a driver at Motor Depot No. 8 (1960). He served in the Soviet Army (1960–1964, Shchyrets, Lviv Oblast, Ukraine). After returning to Haisyn, he worked as a driver in the local district consumers’ union (1964–1966). Because of illness, he was dependent on his mother for health-related support (1966–1968). After moving to Riga, he worked as a fitter-assembler at the REZ plant (1968–1979).

In his marriage to Polina Volfovna Moldavskaya (née Blech) (born 1950, Tulchyn, Vinnytsia Oblast), a daughter was born: Stella Yuryevna Moldavskaya (born 1972, Tulchyn).

In 1979 Yuriy Moldavsky received permission to emigrate to Israel, where since the 1920s his wife’s aunt (his wife’s mother’s cousin), Esther Ron (born 1908, Bratslav), had been living.
