Merinberg Sara (28 April 1910, Mitava – 16 August 1989, Jelgava) – circus performer.
From 1918 to 1926, Sara Merinberg studied at a Jewish primary school. She joined the circus in 1935 under the stage name Verana. She trained dogs. In 1941, she was imprisoned in the Riga ghetto, then in the Stutthof concentration camp, among others. Her husband, the famous trainer and rider Karlis Petersons, emigrated to the United States during the war, but returned to Latvia in the 1960s at his wife's request. Sara Merinberg assisted him in performances with trained animals. Until 1970, she worked as a ticket seller at the Riga Circus.
