R. Moshe Avraham son of R. Nechemia Malin

Ilukste

Originally from Brisk.

Son-in-law of R. Ze'ev Wolf HaLevi, rabbi of Zetil and author of the book Emek Halakha.

He was the first rabbi of the town, and served in the rabbinate from the year 5607 until the year 5615 (1847– 1855). He was a Hasid, and in his days Hasidism began to develop and take root in the hearts of the town's Jews.

A responsum addressed to him appears in the responsa of Rabbi Isser Yehuda (addressed to his brother, R. Isser Yehuda, Av Beit Din of Brisk), section 77.
