Livshits (Livschitz) Vladimir Abramovich (22 July 1931, Varakļāni) – shoemaker.

Vladimir Livshits was born into the family of the tailor Abram Vulfovich Lifshits (1903) and the homemaker Khaya Abramovna Lifshits (Sandler) (1905).

He was evacuated to Aktyubinsk (1941–1946) – according to other sources, to Gorky.

Upon arriving in Riga, he worked as a shoe cutter in the “Stalinskaya Pyatiletka” cooperative (1947–1951), while simultaneously studying at Evening School No. 5.

He served in the Soviet Army (1951–1954, Kaliningrad). After demobilisation he returned to the “Stalinskaya Pyatiletka” artel (1955), worked at the Ogre District Industrial Combine (1955–1957), as a shoe cutter at the “Blazma” factory (1957–1961), and at the Riga District Consumer Services Bureau (1961–1972).

In his marriage to Riva Zelikovna Livshits (Gildenson) (1932, Riga), daughters were born: Zelda Vladimirovna Livshits (1959, Riga) and Ilona Vladimirovna Livshits (1966, Riga).

In 1972 Vladimir Livshits received permission to emigrate to Israel, where since 1969 his sister Dora Abramovna Feld (Lifshits) had been living.
