Lipkhina (Lipchina / Lipkina) (née Ioffe) Eta Shabshelevna (born 1 March 1913, Riga) – shop assistant.
In 1927, Eta Lipkhina completed six classes at the Jewish primary school in Riga. From 1928 to 1941 she worked as a saleswoman in Natanson’s shoe shop in Riga. In 1942–44, she was employed as a stoker at the Uralmash factory in Sverdlovsk. In 1945, Eta Lipkina returned to Riga and worked as a storekeeper in the canteen of the Zagotzerno enterprise until 1947. From 1947 onwards, she was a homemaker.
In her marriage to Israel Pinkhusovich Lipkhin (1908, Ludza), two children were born: Rosa Lipkhin (1948, Riga) and Pinkus Lipkhin (1955, Riga).
During the war, Eta Lipkina lost her entire family. Her parents, Shabse Ioffe (1884, Riga – 1941, Riga) and Rocha Ioffe (née Grinhold) (1885, Riga – 1941, Riga), and her sisters Sheina Ioffe (1908, Riga – 1941, Riga), Masha Ioffe (1920, Riga – 1941, Riga), Frida Ioffe (1922, Riga – 1941, Riga), and Hana Ioffe (1924, Riga – 1941, Riga) were all killed in the Holocaust. Her brother, Khonе Ioffe (1915, Riga – …), died a heroic death on the fronts of the Second World War.
In 1965, Eta Lipkina received permission to emigrate to Israel at the invitation of her husband’s sisters, Guta Haikin (née Lipkhin) (1911, Ludza) and Mira Berkovskaya (née Lipkhin) (1917, Ludza).
