In 1941 she was evacuated to Shakhrinau, Tajik SSR, where until 1944 she worked as a cleaner in Children’s Home No. 1. After returning home she again worked as a cleaner at the ORS until 1947.

Her sister and brother, Rakhil Kuruferld (née Dorfman) (1890, Odessa Oblast – 1942, Tajik SSR) and Shanse Dorfman (1893, Odessa Oblast – 1943, Tajik SSR), died in evacuation.
