Lapp Abe Ruvinovich (Rubanovich) (31 March 1924, Riga) — worker.

Abe Lapp was born into the family of Ruvin Abovich Lapp (1881, Rezekne – killed by the Nazis in 1941, Liepāja) and Riva Leyzerovna Lapp (née Oshrina) (1882, Riga – 1973, Haifa, Israel).

He completed eight classes at the Jewish elementary school (1939, Liepāja). Worked as a messenger for a private employer (1939, Liepāja), then as an apprentice mechanic at the Sarkanais Tekstilnieks textile factory (1940–1941, Riga). He was evacuated to Sosnovka, Kirov Region, where he worked as a fitter at Plant No. 640 (1941–1944). Upon returning to Riga, he was head of the warehouse of the paramilitary security service of the Latvian Railway (1945–1947), a selector-packer at the Riga Wholesale Base of Soyuzgalantereya (1947–1948), and a collector of scrap materials at the Promprodukt artel (1948–1952). He later worked as a procurement agent at the same artel (1953–1955), a press operator in the optical workshop of the Moscow District Industrial Combine (1955), and a mechanic at the Household Services Combine (1955–1977). He was unemployed due to illness (1977–1978), and then worked as a mechanic at the Maintenance Department of the University of Latvia (1978–1988).

Married to Anna Vladimirovna Karavchuk (born 1930, Kursk); they had a daughter, Vinetta Abovna Lapp (born 1954, Riga). The marriage was dissolved in 1957.

His second marriage was to Larisa Osherovna Eidlina (born 1930, Moscow); they had two sons — Roman Abovich Lapp (born 1961, Riga) and Oskar Abovich Lapp (born 1965, Riga).

In 1988, Abe Lapp received permission for a 90-day visit to Israel, where his brother Ikhezkiel Ruvinovich Lapp (born 1915, Riga) had lived since 1939, and his sister Haye-Sore Slavina (née Lapp) (born 1919, Riga) had lived since 1966; she emigrated to Australia in 1977.
