Kotzer Avraham (1905, Dvinsk – 20 October 1938, Palestine) – security guard.
Until the age of 17, Avraham Kotzer studied at a yeshiva and a Russian gymnasium. In 1918, he was orphaned and had to support his family. He became a tailor and moved with his family to Riga. At the beginning of World War I, he entrusted his younger brothers to the care of the community and was drafted into the army. After the war, he joined the Hachalutz and Gordonia organisations. He worked on an agricultural farm for three years. In 1929, he moved to Palestine and took part in the restoration of Kibbutz Hulda, which had been destroyed in 1929. In 1936, he was mobilised into the security regiment and was involved in guarding and escorting workers on the roads. On 20 October 1938, Kotzer's detachment was ambushed by Arabs. He was killed along with two other guards and buried in Kibbutz Hulda. A bridge named ‘Gesher ha-Shlosha’ (‘Bridge of Three’) was built over the ravine where Kotzer and the others were killed.
