Klemptner (née Minsker, formerly Abramson) Alisa

(born January 12, 1909, Riga – ?) — employee.

Alisa Kemptner was the daughter of Vulf Minsker (1869, Riga – 1933, Riga) and Sarah Minsker (née Rabinovich) (1869, Ludza – 1941, Riga).

From 1926 to 1928, she worked as an accountant at Prombank in Riga. In 1928–29, she studied at the Faculty of Philology of the University of Paris. In 1929, due to financial difficulties, she returned to Riga. From 1930 to 1935, she worked as a knitter at the “Feitelberg” company in Riga, and from 1935 to 1938 — as a typist at “L. Freidberg.” In 1941, she was a clerk at the Riga Construction Trust of the Aviation Industry.

That same year, she was evacuated to the settlement of Golyshi in the Gorky region, where she worked at a lumber yard. In 1941–42, she was an accountant at the “Zagotskot” office in Molotovsk, and in 1942–43 — a dishwasher and timekeeper at a bicycle factory in Bukhara. From 1943 to 1945, she was a controller at the Control and Accounting Bureau of the Bukhara City Executive Committee.

In 1945, she returned to Latvia, working as a dispatcher at the Latvian branch of Glavzagotcentr. From 1951 to 1953, she worked as a nurse, and from 1963 to 1975 — as a radio technician at the Railway Hospital in Riga. Since 1975, she was retired. Awarded the medal “Veteran of Labor.”

Her first husband, Mikhail Abramson (1908, Riga – 1942), was killed in the war.

In her second marriage, to Nikolai Klemptner (1903, Riga), she had two sons — Vladimir (born 1947, Riga) and Alexander (born 1948, Riga).

During the Holocaust, her mother, brother, and sisters were killed: Natan Minsker (1901, Krustpils – 1941, Riga), Raya Mikhelson (née Minsker) (1897, Krustpils – 1941, Riga), Revekka Margolis (née Minsker) (1898, Krustpils – 1941, Riga), and Betty Minsker (1903, Riga – 1941, Riga).

Her sister Miriam Rozengarten (née Minsker) (1899, Krustpils) lived in Israel in the 1970s. In 1979, Alisa Klemptner received permission to emigrate to Israel at the invitation of her cousin Anna Khadani (née Minsker) (1913, Krustpils).
