Feiga Kleiman was born into the family of workers Avsey Aronovich (1902, Kraslava — 1976) and Sofya Aronovich (1903, Kraslava — 1947, Riga). In 1941, she completed seven grades of secondary school. That same year, she was evacuated to the Chuvash ASSR, where she worked on a local collective farm. From Chuvashia, she moved to the Urals and worked as a registrar at a medical center in the city of Molotov. In 1945, she retured to Riga and worked until 1947 at Soyuzgippromtorg.

From 1954 to 1956, she was a patcher at the 2nd Riga City Food Trade Office; from 1957 to 1960, a boot assembler at the “Krasny Khimik” (“Red Chemist”) artel; from 1960 to 1962, a sales clerk in Riga stores No. 19, 119, and 176; and from 1962 to 1973, a circuit assembler at the VEF factory.

Married to Yevgeny Kleiman (b. 1918, Gomel). Their daughters are Sofia Sosner (née Kleiman) (b. 1947, Riga) and Raisa Perlman (née Kleiman) (b. 1949, Riga).

In 1973, Feiga Kleiman received permission to emigrate to Israel to join her daughter Sofia Sosner (née Kleiman), who had emigrated from Latvia a year earlier.
