Khait (Heit) (née Rabinovich) Khava (Hawa) (30 June 1901, Cahul, Bessarabia Governorate) — nurse.
After the Romanian occupation of Bessarabia in 1917, she became a Romanian citizen. Following the Soviet annexation of Bessarabia in 1940, she accepted Soviet citizenship.
In 1920 she entered the Medical Institute in Bucharest, later transferring to an institute in Iași. Because of the antisemitic movements of that period, she was forced to leave her studies in 1923.
In 1924 she married Abram Khait (1900), a native of Bendery.
After the war, she returned to Bendery, and in June 1952 she moved together with her husband to Riga.
She completed a correspondence course at a medical assistant and midwifery school in 1949.
From 1938 she worked as a nurse in Cahul and Bendery, in the Ordzhonikidze Territory and the Tajik SSR during evacuation, and from 1952 until her retirement in 1963 at Polyclinic No. 4 in Riga.
In 1963 she applied for permission to emigrate to Israel, to the city of Ramat Gan, where her sister Tsilya Kreposter was living.
