Hertzbach (Gertsbakh) (née Munitz) Moisey Ilyich (1902 – 13 August 1938, possibly Moscow) – Economist specialising in international affairs, academic, and educator.

Moisey Hertzbach graduated from the Faculty of Economics and Law at the University of Riga in 1925. Later that year, following the publication of an article marking the first anniversary of V. I. Lenin’s death, he was sentenced by a Riga court to 18 months’ imprisonment in a fortress. In 1926, he left Latvia for the USSR, where he became a member of the Central Committee of the International Red Aid (MOPR).

From 1926 to 1933, he worked at the Institute of World Economy and World Politics under the Communist Academy, and from 1929 taught at universities in Moscow. His research covered the post–First World War development of European and American nations, the economics and politics of the Baltic states, and among the earliest investigations into the role of international monopolies in capitalist societies.

Arrested in 1937, Moisey Hertzbach was executed in 1938. He was officially rehabilitated in 1955.
