Gotgelf (Gottgelf) (née Prais) Riva Itsikovna (10 April 1903, Ludza) — labourer.

Riva Gotgelf was the daughter of Itsik Prais (1869, Ludza – 1944) and Nikhama Prais (1880, Ludza – 1933, Ludza). She was illiterate.

From 1921 to 1923, she worked as a domestic servant in private households in Ludza. From 1923 to 1941, she was a homemaker.

In 1941, together with her children, she was evacuated to the town of Vyazniki in Ivanovo Region, where she worked at the “Krasnoye Znamya” factory. In 1944, she returned to Riga and remained a homemaker until 1953. From 1953 to 1963, she was employed as a cleaner and labourer in the confectionery section of the Brīvais Darbs Artel (later reorganised as the Daugava restaurant). From 1963 onwards, she was a state pensioner.

She was married to Meer Gotgelf (1901, Riga – 1942). Their children were: Sarka Gotgelf (1924, Ludza – 1931, Riga), Mikhail Gotgelf (1925, Ludza – 1946, Ludza), Vera Dimanstein (née Gotgelf, formerly Etina) (born 1927, Ludza), Mina Anenburg (née Gotgelf) (born 1930, Ludza), and Sara Gotgelf (1939, Ludza – 1941, Vyazniki, Ivanovo Region).

Her husband Meer Gotgelf and her brother Borukh Prais (1898, Ludza – 1944) died in combat during the Second World War. Another brother, Nison Prais (1915, Ludza – 1941, Ludza), perished in the Holocaust.

In 1970, Riva Gottgelf received permission to emigrate to Israel.
