Glezer Iosif Mordukhovich (b. 30 June 1951, Riga) – telecommunications technician.
Iosif Glezer was born into a white-collar family: his father, Mordukh Abramovich Glezer (b. 1920, Riga), and his mother, Minna Iosifovna Glezer (née Bunes, b. 1927, Kuldīga, Latvia). He graduated from Riga Secondary School No. 25 in 1969 and subsequently attended the Technical School of Telecommunications (1969–1970).
In 1970, he began working as a telecommunications technician at the Central Telephone Exchange. He served in the Soviet Army from 1970 to 1972. After demobilisation, he resumed work in Riga—first at the Central Telephone Exchange (1973–1974), then as a cable splicer at the Eastern Telephone Exchange (1974–1975).
In 1975, Iosif Glezer received permission to emigrate to Israel, where his maternal aunt, Tsivia Iosifovna Bunes (b. 1925, Kuldīga), had been living since 1972.
