From 1944 to 1946, she was employed at a worsted factory in Tashkent. Between 1946 and 1947, she worked at a bakery in Letychiv. She later moved to Chernivtsi, where she worked at a hosiery factory. From 1949 to 1959, she was employed at a glove factory, and from 1959 to 1964, at the Kalinin Factory in Chernivtsi.

In 1965, Gleizerman moved to Riga, where she worked as a spinner at the Rīgas Tekstils combine until 1967. From 1968 onwards, she was employed as an embroiderer at the Riga Home-Based Labour Combine.

During the war, her mother, brother Mikhail Gleizerman (1923, Letychiv – 1943), and sister Klara Gleizerman (1925, Letychiv – date of death unknown) were killed. In 1970, Elizaveta Gleizerman received permission to emigrate to Israel, invited by her mother’s cousin, Mordechai Shakhray (born 1932, Letychiv).
