Drits (Dritz) (née Weinstein) Tamara Yankelovna (born 22 May 1923, Kiev — date and place of death unknown) — accountant and book‑keeper.
Tamara Drits completed secondary school in Kiev in 1941. During 1941–44, she was evacuated to Bukhara, where she worked as an accounts clerk at the Bukhara Drama Theatre. In 1945, while evacuated in Chardjou (Turkmen SSR), she married Meyer Borukhovich Drits. Later in 1945, the couple relocated to Riga.
From 1951 to 1953, Tamara worked as a sales assistant at the factory‑brand shop of “Mashinopribostroenie”. In 1954–55 she was a home‑based worker at the Riga district industrial combine. Around 1962–65, she served as an accountant at the Riga Commercial Sea Port. In 1953, she was convicted under Article III of the Criminal Code for negligence and sentenced to one year of corrective labour; she was subsequently amnestied that same year.
Tamara and Meyer Drits had one daughter: Bella Meyerovna Drits.
Her father, Yankel Leibovich Weinstein (born 1883, Romanovka, Ukraine — died 1942 in Bukhara), worked as a tailor. Her mother, Riva Davidovna Weinstein (born 1884, Gomel — date and place of death unknown), is also recorded. Tamara had one brother, Boris Yankelovich Weinstein (born 1910, Kiev — died 1944, presumably at the front), and two sisters: Shifra Yankelovna Weinstein (born 1915, Kiev — killed by the Nazi during the Second World War at an unknown date) and Lea Yankelovna Vayner (born 1920, Kiev — date and place of death unknown).
