Dimant (née Segal) Feiga Abramovna (1901, Daugavpils) - homemaker born 1901, Daugavpils

Feiga Dimant completed her secondary education in Riga in 1920. In 1941, during the Soviet occupation, she and her family were forcibly expelled from Latvia. Her husband, Isaak Dimant (born 1905, Daugavpils; died 1959, Riga), was a prominent merchant of optical instruments, employing paid staff and reporting annual turnover of 183,000 lats. He was also noted for his generous donations to arm the paramilitary Aizsargi during Kārlis Ulmanis’s presidency. As a consequence, Feiga and her family were registered in a special settlement; this restriction remained in place until 1956.

Following their removal from the settlement's registry, Feiga relocated to Vilnius in 1957, before returning to Riga in 1958.

With Isaak Dimant she had three daughters:

Sarra Dimant (later Nakhimovskaya), born 1930 in Daugavpils

Genya Dimant, born 1933 in Riga

Itella Dimant, later Guryeva, born 1940 in Daugavpils

During the Holocaust, Feiga’s immediate family suffered grievous losses: her parents — Abram Segal and Ella Segal (both from Kraslava and died in 1941 in Zilupe) — as well as her siblings Ita Segal (1903–1941, Zilupe), Riva Segal (1905–1941, Zilupe), and Vulf Segal (1908–1941, Riga) — were all murdered. Two of her younger siblings, Moishe Segal (born 1910) and Ben-Dovid (Dvora) Segal (born 1913), both of whom later settled in Israel during the 1970s, survived the war.

In 1972, Feiga Dimant emigrated to Israel at the invitation of her eldest daughter Sarra.
