In his approbation from 22 Sivan 5570 on the book Zevad Tov (by R. Ze'ev Wolf Altschuler, rabbi of Lucin) and in the book Sfat HaYam (by the same rabbi), he signs: “here in the holy congregation of Mitau and rabbinic decisor of the holy congregation of Tukums and its environs.”
