Ludza / Lucin

He was a teacher in Tsharei.

In 5627, at the request of the Hasidim of Lucin, the Lubavitcher Rebbe (Maharash) sent him to serve as rabbi for them.

He was distinguished for his fine character, and worked with self-sacrifice and great patience to educate and guide the people of the city, and accomplished much there.
