In a letter in the newspaper HaMelitz from 16 Tevet 5643, his name appears with the title “serving in the rabbinate of the holy congregation here in Krāslava.” Also in an announcement in that newspaper from 3 Tammuz 5652 he signs as “rabbi on behalf of the government here in Krāslava.”
