In 1937, Rakhil married Kalman Brod. In 1938, she graduated from the Latvian Conservatory with the qualification of “freelance artist.”

In 1939, she gave birth to a daughter.

At the outbreak of the Second World War in 1941, Rakhil Brod was evacuated to Lyskov, in the Gorky Region, where she worked as a singing teacher at a secondary school, a music instructor at a pedagogical college, and a music worker in several kindergartens simultaneously.

At the end of May 1945, she returned to Riga. From mid-June 1945 until 1948, she worked at the District Officers' House as a concertmaster and later as the head of the musical section of the amateur arts department.

In May 1998, Rakhil Brod moved with her daughter’s family to Germany.
