Brant (Gild) Meri Bentionovna (28.01.1914, Daugavpils) — bookkeeper. Meri's family moved from Panevėžys to Latvia in 1904. In 1932, she graduated from the 9th grade of the Daugavpils Jewish Gymnasium. She did not work until 1941. In the late 1930s, she moved to Aizpute. In 1939, she married Brant Sima (1906 — 1944, killed on the front near Moscow). B.'s son, Brant Paul, was born in August 1941 in Velikiye Luki. B. was subsequently evacuated to the Chuvash ASSR, where she found her parents Gild (Fayn) Tauba (1881–1951) and Gild Bentsion (1883). In 1945, she returned with her parents and son to Daugavpils; until 1971, she served as bookkeeper and also worked as a kiosk seller and buffet worker. In 1947, she remarried to Potash Iosif Naumovich (1901); this marriage produced a daughter Nina (1948).

B.'s brother Gild Iosif (1923–1944) was killed on the front near Moscow; brother Gild Roma (1909–1941) perished near Staraya Russa; brother Gild Yakov (1906–1941) perished in the city of Subboty. Sister Gild Tsila (1910–1941) and brother Gild David (1909–1941) perished at the hands of the fascist invaders.

B.'s sister Vinitskaya (Gild) Sarra Bentionovna (1912–1970) was evacuated from Aizpute to Central Asia in 1941, where she married the evacuee Vinitsky Kopel, a native of Poland. After the war, Sarra and her husband moved to Poland, and from there in 1947 to Israel.
