Bobrushkina Zhenya Mendelevna (7.01.1914, Gomel) - chemical engineer.
Zhenya Bobrushkina was the daughter of Mendel Bobrushkin (1884, Gomel - 1939, Gomel) and Rachel Bobrushkina (Libman) (1885, Gomel - 1969, Riga). In 1936 she graduated from the All-Belarusian Industrial Technical School of Building Materials. In 1936-1939 she was a laboratory chemist at the distillery in Novobelitsa, Gomel region.
In 1941 Zhenya Bobrushkina was evacuated to Chistopol, Tatar ASSR. In 1943-45. In 1943-1945 she was a secretary of the educational part at the Chistopol ship-repair plant. In 1945 she was re-evacuated to Gomel, in 1946 she moved to Riga. In 1951 Zhenya Bobrushkina was a laboratory assistant at the Brivais Darbs Artel. In 1952-1963 - laboratory assistant in the experimental laboratory of ‘Latpromsvet’, senior engineer in the central laboratory of the Ministry of Municipal and Local Economy of the LSSR, engineer in the Department of Local and Fuel Industry of the LSSR SNH. In 1963-1974 - Engineer of the household chemistry sector in the Central Design Bureau and Design Bureau of Chemicalisation of National Economy, ‘Latvbytkhim’ and ‘Soyuzbytkhim’.
From 1974 Zhenya Bobrushkina was a home embroiderer at the multi-sectoral home work combine ‘Sarma’. She was awarded the medal ‘Veteran of Labour’.
In her marriage with David Minin (1909, Krasnopolye settlement, Mogilev region) daughters Fanya Minina(1931, Gomel) and Esfir Minina (1937, Gomel) were born. In 1980 Zhenya Bobrushkina received permission to emigrate to Israel
